Finally got in contact with Street Teens...

So i finally got a message from 'street teens'. they called me back and left a message. And then i called them back an hour later and they yes they be willing to accept in-kind donations and would like my baskets.

They have 150 kids come thru there every month. Ages 12-21.

I will be making 150 baskets with or without help. Call me or email me if you want to help. I will have to adjust the stuffing the basket items. i have to go window shopping or shopping at the dollar stores to see whats their bulk packages and what can fit in the water baskets. the jewelry kits (necklaces, earrings, braclets) will still be in the baskets for the girls, and as for the boys keychains.

I had a demonstration at my house and no one showed up. i was dissapointed. but tahts okay. i have my mom and my friend helping me, a few others with other things with collecting.

I gave Street Teens a call today and left a message now Im waiting......waiting....
The things we will be collecting will be different compared to the list below on January 10th.

will stay on the list of donated items that will go in the baskets.

Please Remember the 21st.... we will be having a basket demostration.

After a Few Days of Thinking...

A few days have passed and I have decided to donate baskets to the Street Teens. I have made my decision and now all I have to do is make the phone call. Stree Teens is a place for place where teens have no where to go too. I might give Spirit Therperies a call but still not sure?

Water Bottle Basket's

Its a 16oz water bottle thats decorated on the outside but with small goodies in the inside. Theres a numerous ways to decorate your bottle and numerous things to stick in your basket. Your probably wondering what am I doing with these baskets? Im donating these baskets to children. I still haven't figured out where. But it will be between ....Boys and Girls Club....Spirit Therapies.....Caring 4 Kids....Starlight Children's Foundation. Yet to say Im still in the calling phase and on the search hunt. I will be handing these goodies out over a week before easter break.




To Decorate a Basket, What You Need
1. Low Temp or High Temp Glue Gun
2. Construction Paper
3. Tissue Paper (glue paper together before attaching to bottle)
4. Fuzzy Wire
5. Flowers (small)
6. Pictures of Children's Sporting Activities (needs to be able to fit on the bottle)
7. Pictures of characters (Elmo, Dora...etc.)
8. Cheap Necklaces (like the ones the Rio hands out)



What To Stick In the Bottle's
1. Pencils
2. Push pencils
3. Papers Pads (broken up)
4. Cars
5. Army men
6. Pens
7. Crayons (small kits)
8. Plastic animals (broken up)
9. Necklaces, bracelets
10. Tissues
11. Stickers (if too big, cut it up)
12. Hair ties
